It also came back to decision-making what the Kosovo Police do, where to decide and how many troops and what unit to put on the ground?!!
“EULEX has also increased its presence in the north now we have our patrols aiming to fill the gap created following Serbian police officers' resignation at the end of May 2023”, chief of media said EULEX, Barbano.
Two questions for the Kosovo leadership:
- When was the last time before 2023 that EULEX had decision-making powers to deploy police units on the ground?
- When was the last time before 2023 that EULEX has fulfilled the Kosovo Police vacuum?
To sovereigns, this is very clear:
A sovereign authority is transferred (even in part) to EULEX!
The same EULEX since June 2018 has remained with completely limited capacities, now in 2023 it has been reinvigorated in capacity and decision-making.
Instead of the EU reviewing EULEX's closure, sovereigns reinvigorated it both in decision-making and in the field!
