Former Prime Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic says that in two weeks all Serbian police officers will leave Kosovo Police.
Jablanovic stressed that the main reasons are the challenges they are facing every day.
I mean, actually, a good friend of mine is a member of the RK, he's planning to leave the service for personal reasons. It is seen that the vast majority of citizens in the north do not look with sympathy at the new police officers, and we all know that they face some challenges like: that citizens avoid, do not want to call on the streets to report some cases... This is great pressure from the environment on these young people, and I think that in the coming week or two maybe all Serbs will leave the PK”, Jablanovic said in a motion for Blic newspaper.
Jablanovic says their resignation does not result from threats, but according to him, Serbs have realised that the people they work in do not accept them.
According to him, everyone knows this except Prime Minister Kurti.
I don't believe their resignations are the result of threats, have they not been subjected to threats and pressures even when applied for police service, and there have been serious calls and signs on social networks? This is simply the reality that you cannot effectively carry out the work of police in an environment where people don't accept you, and Serbs are slowly understanding this. I think only Albin Kurti and his government do not understand this and do not accept reality on the ground in the north”, Jablanovic said.
