Exports grow import compared to July 2022

Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published foreign trade statistics for July 2023.

Compared to July 2022, there have been reduced exports and import growth.

“Export of goods in July 2023 was worth 67.3m euros, while import 512.0m euros, which is a drop (-11.8%) for export, as well as a 1.9% increase for import, compared to the same period of 2022”, the ASS report said.

The main export group makes up the basic metals and articles.

“According to key export group data, make up: (22.2%) basic metals and articles from them, (17.5%) various products produced, (14.5%) plastic, ego and articles from them, (10.6%) prepared foods, drinks and tobacco, (6.3%) plant products, (5).2%) textiles and textiles, etc.<x1m.

In addition, mineral products have been imported, and afterward prepared foods, beverages, and tobacco.

“While according to key import group data: 14.7% make up mineral products; 12.9% make up prepared foods, drinks and tobacco; 11.7% make up machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment; 11.1% make up the means of transportation; 9.4% make up basic metals and articles from them; 6.7% make up chemical industry products; 5.7% make up plastics, tires and items from them, etc.”, says the report, conveys 1.

According to this institution, growth has subsequently marked the trade deficit.

The data from Kosovo's Foreign Trade and Goods shows a higher trade deficit of 4.4% in July 2023, in proportion to the same period in 2022, worth 444.7m euros, compared to the deficit of 426.1m euros in 2022. Export covers import by 13,1%”, checks out in the announcement.
