Albania's Ambassador to the US: When Engel left there were 3 congressmen, there are now 24 working for us and Kosovo

Albania's ambassador to the United States, Floreta Faber, who has represented its state in Washington for eight years, in an interview at the end of its mission, has also talked about co-operation with the American Congress. Faber said that when Congressman Eliot Engel left, there were only three members of the congress [...]
Faber has said that when Congressman Eliot Engel left, there were only three members of Congress who were taken and working directly with Albanian issues and with Kosovo, while adding that this number has gone to 24, which he says is satisfied.
She has shown how after Engel's departure, she was focused on expanding the stone of congressmen dealing with the Albanian issue.
That's actually one of the best realisations we've had directly during these years of work in Washington. For the first time in the U.S. Senate in 2016, we set up a cause of Albanian affairs and may mention that there are fewer than 10 countries in the Senate that have a kaukus (the interest group of members of Congress and/or senators in maintaining relations with a certain country) focused on the issues of a certain country.
And at the U.S. Congress, I worked very closely with Congressman Eliot Engel and the Albanian group in Congress. But at the moment of his departure, we thought we could work very closely on expanding this group, and of course this is a job that should continue to serve relations with the United States, and thought to work very closely especially with the Albanian diaspora for the expansion of this group.
When Congressman Engel left we had three members and I am already glad that we have 24 and I am convinced that the number of members of Congress working directly with Albanian issues, with all Albanians in Albania, in Kosovo, in the region, and are familiar with developments in Albania, will be meeting from time to time with all delegations coming to Washington”, she said about VOA.
