There, he was asked the site in the north, especially for his deputy, Besnik Bislimi, who the day before said Kosovo would announce elections in northern Kosovo until the EU removes measures against Kosovo.
For this statement, Kurti said it was not about “conditioning but about the logical order of” things.
The “measures taken against us, both temporary and returnable, of course we expect to be removed as soon as possible, and it is logical that this must happen in advance. It's about conditioning but it's about the logical order of things, which should have as a first step to implement agreement between Bislem and Lajcak for June 3rd, carried out in Bratislava, which of course creates that minimal normality for early elections”, Kurti said during the conference.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Kurti also commented on the release of Serbs suspected of the attack on KFOR and journalists in the north.
He said there are no details of how such a decision has been made, but has publicly declared he is not satisfied with the prosecutor's work.
“As far as the release of defendants who have been held in custody and some have been released in house arrest, I have no regard for details of specific subjects and no details of how such a decision has been made. Of course you know that in general, I'm not satisfied with the prosecution. I believe they've shown some kind of constant inactivity”, Kurt said.
Another issue Kurti was asked about was the reporting of some media that his five ministers and a deputy minister are being investigated by the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Force.
Even on this subject, Kurt briefly stated that there is no information.
“I am not informed of these investigations reportedly being conducted by Task Force”, Prime Minister Kurti has said February.
Whether these reports of his ministers' investigation are true and whether there is any agreement on the release of Serbs accused of attacks in the north remains to be seen in the coming days./Periscopi/
