The violent protests, which were triggered by the fatal murder of a teenager by a police officer last Tuesday, have already caused more than 1 billion euros in damage, according to a French business association, MEDEF.
Protesters have looted 200 shops and destroyed 300 bank outlets and 250 smaller shops, a spokesman said MEDEF for CNN.
The wave of riots erupted after 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk was shot dead by a policeman.
