In Lozanne in the western part of the country where French is spoken, about 100 people gathered after a call for protest Saturday.
Police said in a statement that several shop windows were broken after some teenagers threw stones and a Molotov cocktail on them.
The officers arrested seven people -- six of them between the ages of 15 and 17 -- and who had citizenship of Portugal, Bosnia, Serbia, Georgia, Switzerland and Somalia -- writes the BBC.
