The Democratic League of Kosovo has not participated in the assembly of the Parliament's leadership in protest of the current situation in the country and EU-set penal measures on Kosovo.
LDK parliamentary group chief Arben Gashi has said that “cannot this normal situation in the country without sanctions against Kosovo being lifted”.
“The LDK did not participate in the chairmanship meeting because of the situation created over the already confirmed sanctions by the EU spokesman and also from Kosovo's prime minister. We consider it impossible to behave normally, as if nothing happened. There will be no normal sessions and normal place without the sanctions on Kosovo” being lifted, Gashi has said.
The Assembly's chairmanship meeting was meant to be held today, but holding it has failed because of LDK Deputy Chairman Metom Shala's refusal to attend. /Periscopi/
