As long as their demand for involvement in the law for the minimum wage has not been met, as OVL chairman has said, The KLA, Faton Klinkaku, will continue to block the functioning of Kosovo institutions.
According to him, the warned protest will begin on 26 July.
The “has been warned of a protest for July 26th, when a session will be held in the Kosovo Assembly, which concerns non-involvement of UCK war veterans in the Law for the minimum wage. At the chairmanship meeting, it's decided to hold protests at every session that Kosovo Assembly will have, we've learned that they will be in session on that date, and that's why we've referred to”, he declared at RTV Dukajini.
He has stressed that the organisation has been involved in discussions and meetings with the prime minister in the past, calling for veterans' involvement in the law for the minimum wage.
“Qych from last year that we have had protests and we have also had meetings with Prime Minister Kurti, we have shown that as soon as the second reading of the minimum wage passes the law and excludes veterans we will block Kosovo's institutions, in this case the Parliament and Government, depending on how massive the protest will be”, he has said further.
However, according to him, efforts have not produced an acceptable solution for both sides.
On the other hand, he has declared that he has received no official contact with Government and has praised that the issue is now in the hands of the president for decreeing the law.
