The KLA war has been fair, clean, liberation and anticolonial” was the response of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, when he was asked by the Croatian newspaper “Vecernji List” for the trial of former KLA leaders by the Special Court.
Albin Kurti once told President Hashim Thaci: “Go, Hashim”.
Today, Kurti said he believes in their innocence, showing what the state of Kosovo has done for the accused.
The executive head said that as a state they have paid over 16m euros for their defence.
Besides, Kurti adds that international justice is not yet finished in terms of justice in the former Yugoslavia.
The KLA war was a fair, clean, liberation and anticolonial fight. I believe in the innocence of those who are there. We support their defence and have so far paid as a state over 16m euros for their protection. The international community must understand that they have not finished their work with regard to justice in the territories of the former Yugoslavia, because 150 thousand non-Serbs have been killed in the nine years by Serb forces. It means that if a man has killed up to 10 of them, there are 15 thousand serial killers in Serbia who walk freely. Of this number, not one percent of them have ended up after bars. Here again, we have an outstanding asymmetry that conflicts with the reconciliation of our peoples in the Western Balkans”, Kurti said.
The Special Court is judging for <x0 war crimes” former KLA heads. Meanwhile, this court was founded with the approval of the Kosovo Assembly.
