Sylvinho: Besides the fun game, we want 6 points against Moldova & Faroe Islands

Albanian National coach Sylvio Mendés Campos Junior appeared this Monday at a media conference at the sites of the Football House, where he spoke of the list of players gathered for the two matches against Moldova and the Faroe Islands, valid for the elimination of the European Championships, 2024], as well as for the Redborn targets [...]

The Brazilian technician, who debuted in the red - red pankin on March 27th against Poland, spoke of his 26 elections, while also commenting on Klaus Gjasula's absence of two important challenges. As he responded to the journalists' interest, Coach Sylvinho also spoke of two returns to the red camp, Muci and Sadiku. The game, which is expected to develop the national against Moldova and the Faroe Islands, the situation with the two goalkeepers, Strakosha and Berisha, as well as spoke of the debut in Ayr Albanya/Air against the Moldovan team on 17 June.

What's the status of the team and players at this gathering? It's a little delicate moment. As you said, it's the end of the season. Players may be a little busy, but this is part of the job. We've been talking to all the players, we've met many of them, and it's a situation that needs to be managed as well. The volume of work and intensity must be managed so that the player can be 100% when he lands on the playing field. That's why we've chosen 26 players and it's just a good management.

Is Albania higher than Moldova and the Faroe Islands? I know players better. It's been an awkward working period for two months. The match against Poland was shot, and over days we came to know players better. Now we're in a different situation, we've got two different fights, and after so many days working with the staff, I can say I'm happy with the list we've compiled that was 27 players, but we've got 26 players already because of the lack of G): I'm glad we have a new group and I like that. We have a mixture of young and experienced players, as well as 2-3 other elements that I think will help us in these two games. Now I know the team better than when we had our first fight against Poland.

Can we win these two games? We have every chance of winning these two games. Except for the good game, we want the 6 points. But the field will tell us how much we will be able to do so. Of course, the outcome cannot be controlled, but we have a long road ahead, with 7 finals. All matches to be won. It's important that we play a good game and get points. All I have in mind is the match with Moldova and then we'll think about the other fights. We have to get as many points as possible. The desire is strong to go to the Euro-2024 finals. We have a good team and I am convinced that on June 17th, when I make my debut in Albania in front of our fans, they will support us taking the three points from this next match.

Will we play the attack against Moldova and the Faroe Islands, as Muchi and Sadiku have gathered? - We have a different gathering this time, unlike Poland. We'll adapt to our opponent. Muci comes in a very good form at gathering, there is an attacker who plays very well between lines, in space, passively. He deserves to be here with us and help the team. Same thing about Sadick, I talked to him earlier before the first gathering. He knows the area and the goal and he can help us in these two games and that's why we called him. It's important to play a great game, but we play for three points. I told the players, the game doesn't get won in a moment or a moment, but it's won by what you build in 90 minutes. I'm happy with this list we actually have. We have to win with Moldova and then think about the other matches. You know the situation in the group. But I'm convinced, for the game we can play, the team and the players that are going down to the field are the ones who will be 100% of their opportunity. We've got to play a good fight in front of our fans.

Odysse Roshi, why isn't it part of the list? Roshi is a very important player for the National. It's not in these two games, but it doesn't mean it won't be with us in September. I met him a while ago. I talked to him. There's a very skilled player on the right-hand side, but right now we have other players who can play that role and I thought I'd give other players a chance. Roshi is a player in monitoring, just like many other players who have previously been part of the National.

Does the coach have a solution for Albania to play a more open game? I tell the players that there are no small teams in front of them. All players are alike. Everything will depend on us. We're playing 100% of our potential against each rival, no matter who the game is and where it's played. We must be at 100% of our capacity at every match. It's the coach's job to mobilise as many players as possible. We play against Moldova, which has not suffered losses, has a good team, with important names in the organ. I'm sure they also think we're not a small team. I see a hard fight, we must fight to the end. We don't have easy challenges. We need to find space to break down the shield and record. We have to make some sort of difference in the game because of the lack of butter.

Will Gyasula be replaced? There will be no changes on the list. After the damaged butter leaves, we will make no difference. That's why we called 27 players and made a big list. It's a difficult moment because some players come from vacation or after a long season. I want to give a message about the Cumbula, who suffered damage to Rome. In the match against Poland, he made a good show and we will miss a player like him. I hope he recovers as soon as possible and returns to the playing field.

Change of game. That's a coach's job. It's the right question at the time. We'll work together for a few days. It's a delicate moment, June is not easy, but it's not a problem. We have to keep working, we have important, strong players, and I think time available is not a problem. We can make any difference, but more than a defence team or an offensive team, important in football, is the team's balance. If you score three goals, but you've suffered four, then you've lost the game. It's important to score three goals, but not having any. This is football, balance, more than a team of offensives or offenses. I think we have the right and experienced players to build a strong team on the defensive, but also in the offensive. I think we have the right time to make the changes that are needed.

Condemned to win? convicted no, it's a strong word, but we're bound to. We have to get our points on this road, if we play a good game, but we don't get the points we need, that's not worth it. I understand that you can make your own accounts for points, from September to November we have to get the necessary points, play at home and have the opportunity and win the matches at home. But we play a team that has the same goals. In long term, if we win two matches now and lose the next fight, we're out. The road is a little long to the end, and I agree that we have to take as many points as possible, and we work hard for that goal. But it's hard to say 4, 6, 3 points, since you never know. Our desire is to win both matches and get our 6 points, but our opponents share the same goals. I don't know if you saw Bundesligla last week, it was crazy. I was watching some fights at once and what happened is hard to explain. You think that's a game letter, but there's something else on the field. We have to work hard with our players, those who go down to the playing field have to give 100%, add the fact that they play in front of our fans increase the chances of winning the match. The match is won in the field, not won out. We work hard for that 90-minute guy and I'm convinced that the meetings we've had with the players around Europe at clubs or even the decision to live here were the right thing. Here you understand the atmosphere around you and then you transmit it to the players. We're convinced we need points, we start with Moldova, we fight hard, but I think we have the chance to win if we do everything right.

The situation with the two goalkeepers -- Strakosha and Berisha -- is almost the same for the activism they have had. There are two very important players for the National, in fact, whether in the playing field or outside. They have great experience. When the gathering starts and when they're here training with the team, then the field will tell us what situation, physical or psychological shape they'll be. Then we'll see who plays. The situation is just the same for both of us. Strakosha comes from a recently suffered injury and I've been talking to the doctor and medical staff. I've been assured that he has no problems, has returned to the club and trained normally with the team there. He was with Brentford last fight. I'm glad we both have them with us, they can be very helpful. We'll see what they're like in 10 days. We also have Kastrati, who has made a good season, as well as Simon Simon. He's a new doorman. He's talking about him. I've followed him and he's a very interesting player, just like Adrian Bajrami and Mario Mitaj, who are young players with whom we need to prepare the future. They also get experience with the nationals and give to the team. I have a weakness for young players and I try to help them.

Would you agree to win a bad game? For me it's “OK” If we play a good game and get three points. That's what we want, that's what we work for. Football is weird anyway. We will work hard to have a team coming down to the field of heart play, soul and longing to get the three points, but also a beautiful game.

The lack of players from the Abisnet Superere Championship We prepare the list in view of the players who are more in shape and for two specific matches with Moldova and the Faroe Islands. For me and my staff, it doesn't matter where a player plays in Albania, Poland or Brazil. It doesn't matter at all, we always want the best for the National, for the team, for the Federation. The most important is the balance of a team.

Pressure in the match against Moldova because you play at Air Albania Stadium with Albanian fans? It's a great feeling to play this fight and I can't wait for her to come. I don't see the pressure I play my first game as a coach in front of Albanian fans. As you know, I live in Tirana, and every morning every morning I go to the stadium, every time I see that beautiful stadium, I look forward to the game to come and be able to get into the field and enjoy the match with the team to do the best in front of Albanian fans. I'm sure we're gonna have a great fight.
