Lajcak: Edi Rama came to Borelli with proposals for international conference

European Union for the Balkans emissary Miroslav Lajcak, who deals with facilitating Kosovo-Serbia talks, has talked about Edi Rama's proposal for international conference, from which “Kurti and Vuciq would not go out without reaching a” agreement. Lajcak has said that with this proposal Rama has gone to Diplomacy Chief yesterday. [...]
“It's Eddie Rama's initiative. I have to say he plays an active and constructive role in the entire crisis, because he's a good connoisseur of the situation on the ground. Of course, as Albanian prime minister, his voice is very authoritarian to hear. I'm in regular contact with him and I know how much time and authority has invested to find a solution. That's the proposal he came up with. We are in daily contact with the US and the major European capitals. But of course, the best platform for resolving issues is dialogue, and we have to go back to dialog” Lajcak said.
But is such a conference a real option?
“did not discuss expectations from that conference. It's too early to speculate on this. I would like to stress once again that Rama's role is seen constructively” has stressed Lajcak.
Slovak also praised Rama's draft proposal for Association, saying it's very serious but called it a document outside the process that can be used.
It's a very serious and good document. We've analyzed it and I think it's a quality document. Of course, it comes from outside the process. According to all documents from the dialogue, it is clear that the Association statute must be built in dialogue. As for the process, he's out. But as for content and content, there are elements that can be used”, Lajcak stressed.
