KEDS Visit by Ombudsman Naim Celaj and UN Women Kosovo Representatives

Today the ombudsman, Mr. Naim Celaj with his support staff and representatives of UN Women Kosovo visited KED. The visit was aimed at recognising KED's achievements, with focus on the prospect of gender equality, as well as to negotiate working conditions for company employees.
KED Chief Executive Chief, Mr. The Dogan Alpin and other company representatives introduced projects carried out in the field of gender equality and company policies on working conditions in general, also being open to suggestions that can be made in this direction, with Mr. Dogan said:
I am a follower of gender equality at the workplace, and I even wish KEDs in the future had a woman's head. Thank you for honoring us with your visit and please feel open to any suggestion that may help advance further in this area. ”
Meanwhile, the ombudsman, Mr. Naim Qela added:
I know you're one of the biggest companies in the country, and it's a pleasure to visit you today, as a host of the Task Force's International Standards for Safety and Health at Work, together with our representatives. I was very impressed by what you did as KEDS in the field of gender equality. From these projects it is seen that you have built a clear policy on this issue. “
In the ECDS presentation, the company's commitment to fully meeting workers' rights was cited, both in terms of welfare and safety at work, as well as in the working policies for merit treatment and non-discrimination against employees.
Meanwhile, UN Women Kosova representative Flora Kryeziu-Pajazii added: “K The EDS has guided many companies to sign UN Women's principles for Gender Equality in the workplace. Today we have 10 companies in Kosovo that are part of those principles, and we hope that this number will continue to increase. ”
Finally, those attending also visited the employees of various departments in KED, such as: Department of Relations with the Public, Department of the Operating System, Procurement, Call Center, Energy Trade and Consumer Service, Energy Zone, etc.
