On 31 May, the mayor of the Gjilan municipality, Alban Hyseni, who comes from the LVV ranks, announced that he has broken up the coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, after, according to him, this party was not present at three assembly sessions, causing them to fail.
E The LDK, through a current media conference today, has said it will not enter a coalition with LVV in Gjilan, but that it will be the aggressive “opposies of this power that Gjilan's projects are considering as foreign”.
“Developments in the Gjilan municipality have been surprising, but also expected by us. That's because the coalition built V V- The PDK in Gjilan was built, not on the basis of a programme for the developed Gjilan, but on personal and party interests. The PDK's exit from the coalition and their statements after exiting this coalition show that the opportunity to co-operate with the first executive for the common public good has been minimal, or sʹka existed at least”, said the chairman of the LDK branch in Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri.
He said he reconfirms the LDK's position that “we are opposition by the end of this mandate, not expressing readiness for co-governance with the ruling party”.
Our “14 advisers reflect most of the citizens in the Municipal Assembly, and we expect this civic trust to be respected by the Speaker of the Assembly, releasing the position of the first nation to rightfully belong to the Democratic League of Kosovo. On the contrary, the LDK over the next week will begin with the procedures needed for receiving its mandate, in co-ordination with our opposition partners and the newly opposition party”, Haziri further said.
According to him, the LDK's willingness to contribute to a co-operation that will bring good and development policies for the municipality “has never been absent, but always based on the principles of democracy, legitimacy and policies needed for citizens”. /Klankosova. tv
