On Thursday (22/06/2023) at the age of 82, artist and art professor Shyqri Nimani has passed away.
To honour his life and work, there are today homazhes and comet collections held at the Kosovo National Theatre. where funerals are then held at the capital's cemetery, reports Klan Kosova.
Shyqri Nimani is known as a pioneer and as one of the founders of the graphic design department at the Academy of Arts in Pristina, where he also worked as a professor until his retirement.
Because of his professionalism and long career, he was entrusted with writing the Kosovo Declaration of Independence, which was declared February 17th in the Kosovo Assembly.
He was also a musician, visual artist and very good connoisseur of history and cultural heritage.
