Export growth, Kosovo trade deficit deepens by 20.5 per cent

The data from Kosovo's Foreign Trade of Goods points to a more clean trade deficit for 20.5% in May 2023, in proportion to the same period in 2022, worth 443.3m euros compared to the deficit 367.8m euros in 2022.
According to the Kosovo Statistics Agency, exports cover imports of only 14.4%.
Kosovo's exports with CEFTA countries amounted to 33.1m euros, or (44.3%) of total exports, with an increase of (6.9%).
“Partner main exporter from CEFTA countries is: Albania (15.3%), Macedonia (14.8%), Serbia (6.9%), Montenegro (5.9%)”, says the report.
While imports from CEFTA countries in May 2023 reached 96.8m euros, or 18.7% of total imports, with an increase of 16.9%.
“The higher turnout options for import were: Albania (6.8%), Serbia (5.3%), Macedonia (5.2%)”, says the ASS report.
