The time at which the US Coast Guard predicted that oxygen supplies aboard Titan would expire in recent minutes, reports Sky News.
The agency said yesterday that the air supply inside the divers would be completed today at 12:08 p.m.
It is important to note that the exact situation on the ship is unknown, and experts have said that the projections on supplies are invalid “assessment”.
Titan was estimated to have a 96-hour oxygen supply when he started his journey.
A French research ship is preparing its robot to enter the deep sea, the US Coast Guard said, in its first update on the search operation since last evening. The vehicle is already searching for the bottom of the sea.
In brief posts on Twitter, the agency confirmed that L athelante had arrived at the research site and was preparing the remote-run vehicle (ROV).
The Canadian ship Horizon Arctic has also placed its ROV “that has reached the bottom of the sea and has begun its search for the missing submarine”, the Coast Guard said.
A British submarine, as well as equipment from a British company, have been sent to help find Titan.
A British jet C-17 will also transport “specialised commercial equipment” provided by the UK-based Magelan firm in St Johnés, Newfoundland.
