Abazovic offers Kurti-Vucciq meeting in Podgorica

Podgorica is ready to offer a new round for meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said the prime minister in Montenegro's technical mandate, Dritan Abazovic, until he expressed regret over the tensions of the last three weeks in the northern part of the country. Abazovic was [...]
Abazovic said he hoped everything would be going towards suspension until he said that “dialog has no alternative”.
Abazovic, who at the Prespa forum met with Kosovo Prime Minister, said Montenegro as both Kosovo and Serbia's friendly state is willing to offer logistical support for finding a solution. He strictly expressed himself against actions that, according to him, are “de vs” of the 1990s.
“Dhuna is not acceptable in the 21st century, and I urge all to refrain from harsh words and certain things that can bring us back to the process. What Montenegro and Montenegro's Government offer as a friendly act, as a country that has good relations with Kosovo and Serbia, if they consider that we as a friendly country can offer logistical support for a joint meeting in our country. We are more than willing to organise it, of course in co-operation with the EU and the US”, he told the Voice of America in Macedonian.
“I respect the positions that have been heard, some say it is not only a matter between Kosovo and Serbia, but also the region. If it's a matter of the region, then it's a matter for all of us, for all six states. And in this context, we all have to take responsibility for what happens or doesn't happen. I think it's very ugly to see scenes like those of the 1990s. All we want and all we have to do as political leaders is offer a new vision, not to have that dejav of what was before, which was not pleasant, but, rather, with a new vision to offer citizens more European spirit. and a desire to do some good things for the region. Let's go to 2030, not 1999 or 2000”, Abazovic said.
