German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has met with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky, following the announcement of a 2.3 billion-dollar military aid package.
Zelensky first met with President Franz-Walter Steinmeier at his residence at Bellevue Palace in the capital, where a motorised column lowered him while helicopters patrolled the sky.
Though slow in providing military aid, Germany has become one of Ukraine's largest weapons suppliers.
Otherwise, Zelensky was visiting Italy yesterday, where he met with Pope Francis and Italian leaders
