The report states that when the last day for payment of tax duties falls on vacation days, the date for payment is the first day of work after the day off.
According to the announcement, all payments made on weekends and, including May 2nd, will be registered as timely payments.
On the other hand, those who pay property taxes will apply an interest of 0.05% for each month that is delayed, as well as a 10% fine of unpaid taxes.
“Taking into account that April 30th as the last deadline for paying the first 2023 tranche was Sunday, and the 1 May date was a holiday day throughout the Republic of Kosovo, all your payments that have been made with e-banking, as well as through e-Kosovo on the property tax bill have reached as payment on the date 02.05.2023 in the Property Department, and for that reason, the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers inform you that all payments made on weekends and including the 2nd date May will be registered as payment paid on time and any interest and fine applied to your bill will be lowered, while in case of payment of interest and firm fine, the same will be repaid”, the report says.
