The Appeals Court in Specialised Chambers in The Hague had reduced the sentence for three months for Hysni Gucatit and Nasim Haradinaj. The single sentences will be four years and three months in prison, and the Court of Appeals panel had declared that the time remaining in custody would be counted in detention, writes Albanian Post.
Gucati and Haradinaj, on May 18th 2022, have been convicted of obstructing justice management, serving four and a half years in prison. Both are in custody at The Hague since September 2020.
They have been arrested on September 5, 2020, and since then they have been at the detention centre in The Hague. They were suspected that the same year, through several media conferences, they had distributed classified specialised room documents to journalists.
