“in the same court court case on May 17th, 2023 ordered continuing the detention of Jakup Krasniqi and Rex Selimi with the relevant decision for each”, Doyle said.
On the contrary, he said the court has found there is still the danger Krasniqi and Selimi could prevent the progress of the judicial process.
Parasely, he said that in the trial Hashim Thaci and the other fifth, sixth and seventh witnesses called by the prosecution have completed their testimony this week.
Part of the evidence was given at private hearings and part of the public hearing. The court's decision to keep some part of the trial at the private hearing is taken case by case, and the main reason is to protect the safety and identity of witnesses and victims, he said.
