The news has been announced by the Russian foreign ministry, which said Russia had also rejected the US's recent request for consular access to Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who was arrested in March on suspicion of spying.
This move was triggered by US refusal last month to give media visas travelling with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the United Nations, a statement said.
“Washington should have learned long ago that no single hostile attack on Russia will remain unpunished”, the Russian foreign ministry's statement said.
Earlier Friday, the US announced punitive measures against more than 300 targets as a punishment against Russia for the invasion that has started in Ukraine for many months.
