She has stressed that Kosovo is for normalising the reports, encouraging acceleration of the process, which, as it has stated, will bring many benefits to both countries.
“We talked about progress in normalising reports with Serbia, the complexity of this dialogue all takes into account. I have repeatedly heard that Kosovars believe that this is the right way that their country should continue. In meetings with the prime minister and Osman I have stressed US strong support for normalisation and I have encouraged Kosovo and Serbia to intensify efforts to speed up the path towards normalisation. The establishment of association will help normalise reports and economic and business development”, Power said.
She added that Kosovo has changed so much since the last time it had been in 1999.
It's hard to find words to express at what extent Kosovo has changed since I was here the last time in 1999. It's a different Kosovo than what I've seen last time, and this has happened as a result of the iron determination of this country's people. I am leaving Kosovo with a great optimism for its future, this new country has taken giant steps during this time of”, Power said.
Meanwhile, Power announced that the United States of America, so far, has given Kosovo over two billion euros.
The “since 1999 has reached over two billion euros and will help Kosovo take its rightful place among the integrated Euro-Atlantic countries”, Power said.
