KFOR Increases Presence of its Troops

Several hundred Serbs gathered today (Monday) in front of municipal buildings in northern Kosovo and call for the withdrawal of Kosovo police and newly elected Albanian mayors.
As a result, increased number of KFOR forces have been seen in four Serb majority municipalities in northern Kosovo
KFOR members from Lithuania and Austria have been seen in Zubin Potok. In Leposavich they are present KFOR from the US and Italy.
And in Zvecan are KFOR members from Poland and Hungary.
Besides KFOR, close to municipal facilities themselves, there are members of the Kosovo Police.
Police have been forced to use tear gas in Zvecan to stop protesters who tried to break into the municipality facility.
