Cerkinaj, in a proposal for the Blic newspaper, has commented on Prime Minister Kurti's statement, where he said the issue of the unknown during the war in Kosovo will be discussed at this meeting.
Cerkinaj is skeptical about the matter as he says he does not have the confidence that any step will take. Cerkinaj added that what was promised since the beginning of Kurti Government had to be implemented to be achieved.
“Although he has promised that an agreement will be agreed and signed for the missing persons, we as a family do not trust that any step will be taken until what was promised, he said. Cerkinaj says the Kurti Government is not taking the issue of the dead in Kosovo seriously.
“They claimed it would be the first point and the working group would start working in the human part, not the political part. We still have no hope of being serious”, Cerkinaj said.
Otherwise, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said a few days ago that he expects as of May 2nd, when his meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is scheduled to be held, with the European Union's mediation (BE), to urgently address the issue of the unknown since the recent war in Kosovo 1998-1999.
I look forward to an urgent discussion at the May 2 meeting of the finder's case, which is not just the missing and their families, but all of our people, since exactly the found are a unique situation where anxiety is even greater than the grief, where anger is even greater than mourning. So, I expect that on May 2nd, from European facilitators as we said in Ohrid on March 18th, they will urgently address this matter”, Kurti stressed.
