I was hungry, I had no breakfast”, the museum's visitor eats the banana exposed as part of the artistic initiative

Art work called “Comedian”, part of Cattelan “exhibition The wE” was made up of a roasted banana taped with tape on a wall at Leeum Musuem of Art of Seoul.
After eating the banana, the student, Noh Huyn-soo, taped his skin to the wall. The museum later placed a new banana in the same location, local media reported.
The incident, which lasted more than a minute, was recorded by the student's friend.
The Leeum Art Museum did not answer an e-mail question from the BBC, however, told the media it would not seek compensation from the student.
The exposed apartment is said to be replaced every two or three days.
In videos posted online, you hear calls “excuse me”, while Noh removes bananas from the wall. He does not respond, and he begins to eat as the room calms down.
Then he glues his skin to the wall and poses for a moment before leaving.
Noh later told local media that he viewed Cattelan's work as a rebellion against a certain authority. “could have another rebellion against rebellion”, said the student of Seoul National University for KBS.
And I thought it would be interesting... Isn't he up there to eat?
When told about the incident, Cattelan said: “no problem at all”
This is not the first time that bananas used for the work of Mr. Cattelan are eaten by a visitor.
In 2019, performance artist David Dattuna pulled bananas from the wall after the art work was sold for $140,000 (91,000,000) in Art Basel in Miami. The banana was quickly replaced and no other action was taken.
