Many Facebook users claimed that after visiting other people's profiles, the platform automatically submitted requests for friendship.
Meta, the company that owns Facebook, officially announced that they arranged the error “regarding a recent update of the app that caused the wrong sending of some friendship requests to Facebook”.
The last mistake comes after Facebook's mother-in-law, Meta, is among the massive layoffs that have led the company to shut down at least 13 percent of its staff, firing more than 11,000 people.
Last month, a Facebook advertising problem commissioned many users and forced the company to stop all advertising for a while.
