The link between President Recep Tayip Erdoğan and his main rival, opposition leader Kemal Kılıddaroğlu, continues to tighten.
With more than 89 per cent open ballot boxes, unofficial preliminary results show President Erdogan with 49,94 per cent of the vote, according to state agency Anadolu.
As the results currently stand, Turkish presidential elections will go to the runoff on May 28th.
