A mistake in many has caused Kosovo Telecom to block accounts in order to transfer from the Foundation Court to Pristina. In that order, instead of the amount of over 5,000 euros, it is set at 585 thousand euros. This company, following the bank announcement, has indicated that it has verified the earlier 5 thousand euros of debt and has demanded that the amount not be executed, according to the order, since “is a misdemeanor”. And after the two-day freeze, the company's accounts have been unblocked Thursday afternoon.
Kosovo Telecom's bank accounts have remained blocked for two days, as a result of a mistake made in calculating the company's debt surplus in the Pristina Foundation Court's transfer order. In that order, instead of debt of 5 thousand and 857 euros, more than 585 thousand euros has been allocated.
In Telekom, it has been announced that after receiving the bank's announcement of the debt, the sum verification has been made and that, based on this verification, it has been found to be about a value of 5 thousand euros, as a previously accumulated debt. Telekom has requested that there be no execution of the sum it turns out to be in the issued command, because “is meant for an error”.
“Day around 1500 we have been reported by the bank that under a warrant for execution by the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the General Department, Civil Division, Kosovo Telecom accounts for a debt of 585,769.00 euros have been blocked. After detailed verification on our part, realizing that it might be about a debt left over from an earlier dispute, at a value of about 5 thousand euros, we have immediately notified banks not to perform the execution according to the order issued, because it's about an error”, it's been disclosed in a response by Telekom.
From this company, they have indicated that competent courts have been informed about the case and that error confirmation has been received from them, as well as that very soon banks will be issued with a command to unlock accounts.
So far no one of the tools have been executed on this order from any bank, while some of the banks have already opened accounts and, of course, until the end of the schedule, we expect all accounts will be opened after they have accepted the order from court”, said the response by Telekom.
Telecom accounts have been unblocked in Thursday afternoons. But prior to the unblocking, the Constitutional Court has denied the claim that there was a mistake in many.
“PTK, transfer the means to a total of 5,857.69 euros to the Creditor S.I. account. Therefore, the court lets you know that it is not the claim of the Kosovo Post and Telecommunications that the court has issued a transfer order at the value of 585 thousand and 769 euros”, said in response.
From this court, they have asked TIME to account for eventual errors, clarifications to be sought by the Central Bank (BQK), as well as by Telekom. /Time.net
