Chief State Prosecutor Election Opposed to Constitutional Court

The “Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, through a letter, is today announced by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo that an individual request has been filed by one of the counterCandids in the process of electing chief prosecutor”, the official for media from the presidency Bekim Cupina has told Klakosova.

On the other hand, he has said that “President Osmani has consistently clarified that all actions related to the prosecutor's selection process would be undertaken in line with its constitutional mandate, respecting the independence of judicial procedures, as well as the right of candidates to deplete constitutional and legal procedures for realising their rights”.
He added that once the prosecutor's case is completed in all judicial instances, including the Constitutional Court, Osmani will take the necessary actions in line with its constitutional obligations and responsibilities.
