Borrell, at the media conference after the European Union's foreign ministers' meeting, has called for an end to the negative atmosphere and lack of constructiveity.
The European Union is for co-operation, is for neighbourhoods and for living together. For this, rapid and full implementation of the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina is the only way towards normalisation. Bilateral tensions and provocations must end. The negative atmosphere and lack of constructiveity must be reversed. Being an EU member means being able to cooperate, act as a good neighbour, and overcome all past difficulties”, Borrell said.
Borrell has also said that at the EU foreign ministers' meeting, states have not imposed sanctions on Russia for the invasion of Ukraine. He has mentioned Serbia, while saying that maintaining ties with Russia is not in line with the European road and also with Serbia's interests.
