United States has sent Ukraine fears of “model Switchblades”, with modern technology, to help fight Russia. These fears are produced in California by the AeroVironment company.
Two types of drones, the 300th model and the most powerful 600 model, also known as kamikaze drugs, were sent to Ukraine in early spring of 2022 and are reportedly being used in the battlefield. The 300th model, smaller, can be easily transported by a soldier.
This model is built inside a tube that weighs two pounds [2.5 kg], and all fear weighs five pounds [5 kg]. A single soldier could keep his fears in his backpack. It takes about two minutes to get ready for mission”, says John Aldana, director of the Switchblade programme.
Advanced “Switchblade 600” flies at a speed of up to 185 miles per hour. After reaching its destination, the fears are suspended, tracking the target and sending images from the scene to the base. When the target is discovered and the consent is taken to action, fear clashes with it and explodes.
“template Switchblade 600” is larger and more advanced than the preceding model, 300. Model 600 is heavier but portable. It can stay longer in the air and is powerful enough to penetrate tanks.
One of the most unique characteristics of these fears is the ability to float in the air and find the best angle before hitting the target.
Maybe the target is moving and it's hard to hit it. While the threat is pending, the remote control director expects the most appropriate moment to eliminate”, says John Aldana, manager of the Switchblade program.
According to the company, the United States has sent over 1,000 such fears to Ukraine.

He says such technology could be a crucial factor in the coming months.
