As the “Europapean Justice” reports, Zelensky has said this in front of Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian journalists, Blic newspaper follows.
“How to resolve the dispute with Budapest? I think there's a political combination of political elites in Hungary. It's a very strange situation, can it be a place NATO for Russia and against NATO”, Zelensky said.
According to him, a NATO member cannot support a country the Alliance calls an enemy.
I consider behavior inappropriate. I say my subjective opinion. Being an ally is not just a word, it's a meaning. It's a community of states with the same view of security, of values. They deal differently with certain times”, Zelensky said.
He added that if all NATO members call Russia enemy, then one country cannot say “, Russia is our ally”.
It can't be like this. So you are no longer an ally of the alliance. Therefore, if you are a member of the alliance, but de facto work against it”, he added.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán rejected NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's statement during his visit to Kiev that Ukraine must one day become a member of the Alliance.
