Vetevendosje, peace with Edi Rama, does not register in elections, suspends activity

Those in Kosovo today run the government and in 2021 targeted and Tirana this time have chosen to abandon the electoral race, which parties exist for. Vetevendosje has submitted no requirements for registration in local elections, but its leaders in Tirana say they have in fact never been a party.

The Vetevendosje Centre in Albania has never been registered as a political party, but as a civil society organisation. There is no decision to participate in these elections, nor by registering as a party, nor by supporting independent candidates.”, Boykan Abazi said.
Its offices in the capital are still the same, holding Vetevendosje logo, but are not conducting any electoral activity.
“Vetevendosje came to Albania in 2021, intriguing but also expected because Albin Kurti personally became involved in the campaign. The new party participated in only 3 counties, but neither in Tirana nor in Gjirokastra nor in Lezha could win any MP mandate.
Today, two years later, as the activists say, the organization has temporarily suspended all kinds of activity.
Vetevendosje's leader, meanwhile, has not suspended visits to Tirana. Rather, tensions between him and Edi Rama have been suspended.
