Urgent calendar changes required

In a media communique, Djetik says that until holiday days that fall on weekends, the practice of being replaced by work days, Article 4 of the Law for Official Festivals, under which “when the days of official holidays in Article 2 of this law fall on Saturday or Sunday, rest will be the next working days”, is the practice that has damaged and damaging the country in financial and international terms.
On the other hand, the DTIC requires that official holidays not be replaced by working days in cases when they fall during weekend days, but that the day off is only the day which is a day off, and it is also required that they be celebrated, but not on holiday, the days: April 9th, Constitution Day and May 9th Europe Day.
“DHTIK also requires that communities' holidays be holiday days for those categories, but not for the whole country as well. DHTIK, which remains in hope that these recommendations will be taken into account in order to contribute to the increase in working days and the increased arrival of investments from Europe so much needed for our country with the largest unemployment in Europe and with the smallest per capita income in Europe”, it is said further in the communique.
