But there have also been numerous debates about the security of data stored in Tiktok or inappropriate content of minor ages. The debates which consist in preventing the use of this app due to the concern that there are purposes to gather personal data from the Chinese company. America is one of the countries that has banned the use of Tiktek by the administration.
Meanwhile, such a proposal has been made in our country by SP deputy Taulant Balla, on the parliamentary integration commission, viewing data collected from the app as a danger.
But how do IT experts view this issue?
“Problematics are the same as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and all the other social network, so it's not a security issue is the fact that 75% of the shares are behind this company. All the challenges are now being made for this company to be sold in America. The idea is that at the moment that the Chinese state wants to influence various laws for the European Union, but even for the American state, there is a powerful tool that can affect even the citizens of the state we speak of or even employees through the container and algorithm that is available“- says expert Tommy Callanji.
In Albania too, the number of Tiktek users is very high. As far as public administration is concerned, the expert suggests that no social network is installed on employees' phones.

Then the next question arises, do public administration employees use work phones, or do they have personal phones? If they have personal public administration can't interfere with their personal phones, if they have working phones then they can intervene, they can control them, and for my opinion they have to block everything that's about social media and the impact that the social media has on public administration has to be blocked from this moment, not just the tictok “-expressive extension.
Besides the US, the other countries that have banned Tiktek's use in government equipment are Canada, Britain, the UK and New Zealand.
