She says she believes in the innocence of former KLA leaders in The Hague, while stressing that some 18m euros have so far been earmarked for defence teams.
According to her, it belongs to Kosovo institutions to protect her KLA.
“About 18m euros have been earmarked for defence teams, and then they have to do the job at the Court with the aim of acquittal on charges weighing on them. We believe in their innocence, but this issue is not of television debates... I think any statements that we can make further burdens it, but of course it belongs to Kosovo institutions to protect you. The KLA, the cause of the KLA, and their attempt at liberation and freedom. Therefore, I don't believe that the Government of Kosovo has done something contrary to what I'm saying. But you know, legally, we have no other option, because they have created an institution that neither reports to the Kosovo Judiciary Council nor to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council”, she declared in Tv 1.
Minister Haxhiu argued that all that needs to be focused now on “is the work that defence teams can do in terms of their support”.
