Trial against 20 northern police officers, witnesses deny that accused Zvezdan Spasojevic had taken bribes

Witness F. M, said the accused Spasojevic had never seen him with persons acting criminally or ever taking bribes, while added that all cases that had gone to the administration had been counted and went to court.

The same one has clarified that Zvezdan Spasojevich has known since January 2007, and said that as his subordinate, his controls have been correct.

According to the F.M., accused Spasojevic had been the same for every cop, for every head of change and for the entire population no matter what nationality.

The F.M. said that although it had not been his responsibility to go out on the ground, Spasojevich had often been accompanied when he invited him even though there had been a shortage of vehicles.

He said that following the arrest of accused Spasojevic, the police structure and ethnicity had changed and there had been fewer cases, adding that there are more cases recently and the border is safer than that since there are more units.

On the other hand, witness F.M. said Spasojevic had nothing to do with threatening messages he had accepted, which he said had announced the case at the Zvecan police station.

Then, the session continued with witness hearing N. B, who also denied knowing if accused Spasojevic had ever accepted bribes from anyone.

He said the accused Spasojevic has known him since 2005, when he was his first commander at the police station in the north. The N.B. said Spasojevic had been the only Serb to replace shifts at the time had been assigned by the Albanian community.

Likewise, Witness N. B has said the accused Spasojevic had never seen contact with persons who were involved in criminal acts or smuggling with goods.

You've had threats. As far as you know, we've had times when we were especially hurt, you and colleague F. M, following smuggling and criminals during the task and careers we've owned, said the witness.

The same has confirmed that after accused Spasojevic had taken a serious threat on the phone, he had gone to announce the case at the law station and quiet in northern Mitrovica, where the case had occurred and said that Zvecan police station had also made guards near his home following this threat.

Then, witness F.B. said that despite the problem with the lack of cars, there were very good results at work.

Well, it's true that as long as you were, we don't have those results today, so of course, even though today we're probably the biggest number, but sometimes as often as this has been, there's been up to 48 cases within a year”, the F.B. witness added.

According to him, the accused Spasojevic during the meetings held had always sought vigilance and work, asking the same question whether someone had given him personally because he was talking about accepting money from the teams and asking them not to release the area without completing the shift until the next patrol arrived.

Otherwise, witnesses V.I. and D were not present at this session. M, for whom Judge Mentor Bajraktari said the court had sent the calls, but from the brochures it has been found that because of the situation created it could not be delivered.

The next hearings are expected to be held on March 7 and 22, 2023.

Meanwhile, along with the 20 northern police officers, Bozidar Milosavljevic and Krsto Subotic were also charged, but the same courts have stopped criminal proceedings because they had changed their lives.

Otherwise, at the session, held on June 16, 2020, the 33 accused have denied guilt, while the two accused Krsto Subotic, who has passed away and Nysret Jashar had pleaded guilty only to non-licit possession.

Along with 20 northern police officers, in this case smuggling goods are accused of Izet Jashari, he lives Morina, Milazim Januzi, Nezir Bilalli, Nysret Jashari, Sabri Isufi, Jevdet Jashar, Arben Isufi, Bajram Uka, Besnik Morina and Faton Isufi, but the case was isolated.

The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo on 16 June 2020 had filed charges against 33 people for allegedly committing criminal acts “due to the use of official position or authority”, “Brigia”, “contrabands with goods”, “Keeping arms in ownership, or unauthorized possession of”.

According to the indictment, accused Zvezdan Spasojevic in the quality of the station's commander, Biljana Nedekjkovq in the quality of the changing leader and indictee Milija Milunovic, Albert Maxhuni and Abdurahim Hadzic in the quality of patrol officers under the shift “A <x01>, SPPC's leader in Zubin Potok, from 2017 to May 2019, in co-chaired with the accused officer Dejan Vukasinovic, who is on the run, had deliberately used the official office and authority.

The indictment reportedly allowed and enabled the smuggling of various goods, such as animals, derivatives, alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholics and food goods from Serbia to the Republic of Kosovo, and vice versa, through illegal routes, while officials were on duty overseeing border routes.

According to the SPRK, the same had enabled illegal property to indictees Dragoslav Igrutinovic, Boban Radojkovic, Dalibor Djokiq, Miljan Radisavljevic, Miljeljko Radisavovic, Zoran Vukonovolic and other people as goods transporters, avoiding customs control in the case of imports of goods, with the victims causing material damage to the Kosovo Republic's budget.

Also, according to P. The SRK's five accused had accepted various amounts of money, to act contrary to their official duty, and to any vehicle from 20 to 100 euros, or 150 euros, which some of that money was taken for themselves, while the rest had been shared by the exchange officers.

The same actions are being charged with Oliver Kuznovo in the quality of the shift leader, Ramadan Mustafic, Dejan Spasojevicq, Dragos Comprovic, Jasna Durleviq, Zenel Bahtiri, Bozidar Milosavljevic and Ali Plana, in the quality of police patrolled under shifts “B<15>, SMK's, Zubin Potok, and accused Zoran Radun Milosavljevic in the quality of changing leaders and Krs, Red Reskopi, Thomashewi, Tomravica Ljubqwiwiwi, and police in the changing capacity of the Pentrovov, and the Pentroviz Elprovis.

According to PSRK, accused Izet Jashari, Arben Isufi, Faton Isufi, Bajram Uka, Nysret Jashari, Jevdet Jashari, Milazizim Januzi, Nezir Bilalli, Besnik Morina, lives Morina and Sabri Isufi, from 2017 until May 2019, in association with Dragoslav Igrutinq and Boban Rakovic, who are on the run had smuggled from Serbia to avoid customs control.

Later, as reported in the indictment, accused Izet Jashari, Arben Isufi, Faton Isufi, Bajram Uka, Nysret Jashari, Dzevdet Jashari, had taken the animals from the farms of accused Dragoslav Igrutinovic and Boba Radojkoviq and handed them over to their owners in the villages of Pasom and Akrashtica municipality of Vushtrri and village “Sankovc”, in Drenas, where they received 30-35 euros for an animal for carrying these animals.

According to the PSRK, the value of avoidance for smuggled goods alone is over 5 thousand euros, where the same after police investigation had been arrested.

For these actions, Izet Jashari, Arben Isufi, Faton Isufi, Bajram Uka, Nysret Jashar, Jevdet Jashar, Milazizim Januzi, Nezir Bilalli, Besnik Morina, lives Morina and Saber Isufi, are being tasked with criminal work “contrabands with goods”, from Article 317, par.1, regarding us 81 and 31 of the Penal Code.
