“U.S. gas rejection could lead to weakening Kosovo reports- US”

The Executive Director of the American Economic Ode in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, has declared that Kosovo, in recent years, has lost significant investment opportunities due to non-co-ordination with policies of the United States, especially in the energy sector.
On the Rubik show, Zeka said one of the main cases has been the loss of access to the construction of a US investor thermal power plant.
Kosovo has really refused in some key aspects of American foreign policy for years to co-ordinate with the United States of America. In 2021 we actually lost the possibility of building a thermal power plant whose investor was a company of American capital”, Zeka said.
According to him, this has also been the result of political statements of the day.
That was also due to statements that two of the most powerful political leaders, Prime Minister Kurti and President Osmani, had made during the 2020 campaign and early 2021”, he said.
Zeka also criticised the government's approach to the Washington agreement, saying the executive had refused to implement some of its provisions.
This government was actually refusing to implement the provisions of the Washington Agreement, in which the benefit of American financial institutions' funds for the construction of liquid natural gas supply infrastructure” was provided, he said.
He recalled statements by government officials who, according to him, had caused concern.
Government officials said they would choose which provisions of the Washington Agreement would be implemented. Not only did they refuse the agreement as a whole but they were provoking, saying they would decide for themselves which points they would implement”, Zeka said.
The director of the American Oda also said there is a clear American request for investments in the liquid natural gas infrastructure (LNG), rejecting claims that this is not Washington's official request.
