The court ruled that the law be completely overturned as a result of claims based and that this law conflicts with some provisions of the Constitutional Court.
The Constitutional decision, according to Haxhiu, is a blow to reform in justice and citizens, while saying the current composition of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is unfair, as according to her, there is a lack of balance.
She says the ministry, led by her, has made the assessment that changes should be made in the KKP, with the rationale lowering the number of members.
Thus, the first of the MD stressed that when it comes to reform in justice, all “must be unified”. Haxhiu also stated that failure to comply with the Constitution is political.
“Since the members of the Prosecutorial Council have no constitutional mandate, elected under the law, we have estimated that changes should be made to the law”, she said on Monday at RTV Dukaagjini.
The Constitutional Court says I do not obey. How could the Court be allowed to give such political assessments, whether it obeys or disobeys”?
