Escobar yesterday met with opposition parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo, while today began the day with a meeting with the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, and then went on with the chief deputy, Glauk Konjufca.

And his visit ended with a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. At 11: 00 a.m., the American emissary set out toward the government facility where he met from Kurt and stayed there for more than three hours.

Escobar was not declared for the media, as he did after meeting with Osman, but the Prime Minister's Office has issued a communique about today's meeting.

“U discussed tomorrow's meeting in Ohrid in North Macedonia for normalisation of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia based on the European proposal, preparations around it and expectations from that meeting”, said in the communiqué.

ZKM says Kurti thanked Emissar for “his commitment and his contribution to the United States to dialogue”, as Kosovo delegation travels to Ohrid with good will and good intentions.

The European proposal has been named and accepted by Kosovo as a good base and solid platform to move towards full normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, with mutual recognition at the centre. Dedicated, constructive and creative, Kosovo's government delegation travels to Ohrid with good will, good intentions and good faith”, the report said.

We remember that after meeting with Osman, Escobar said he is optimistic about a positive outcome from tomorrow's meeting between Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq. in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State from Pristina has reiterated that Kosovo has America's support, as its [Kosovo] biggest supporter in the world.

The agenda of tomorrow's meeting in Ohrid, meanwhile, is expected to be held with European Union-brokered meetings.

According to the summit agenda, EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell, along with EU Special Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, will hold bilateral meetings with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.

And after the end of separate meetings, there will be a joint trilateral meeting.

The meeting will focus on finalising the EU Agreement implementing Annex on the road towards normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

At the end of the meeting, there will be a press release from Borrell.

The exact time will be set in the afternoon”, the EEAS report said.

We remember that Kurti has expressed herself willing to sign Serbia's <x0-capitalisation “under the EU's mediation, but Vuciq has declared that it is not in his mind to sign Serbia's”.

The 11 provisions document, which has been made public by the European Union, does not specifically mention mutual recognition, which the Government of Kosovo has said should be the focus of an eventual agreement on normalisation of reports.

However, Article 2 of the proposal mentions that parties must respect each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The proposal also includes the parties' commitment to honour all agreements reached so far in the dialogue on normalising relations, as well as their commitment not to prevent each other from obstructing integration processes.

Kosovo and Serbia hold dialogue under EU mediation since 2011. But both states have different goals as regards a final agreement. Kosovo insists on mutual recognition, meanwhile, Serbia seeks compromise solutions.
