The money would have come from loans taken among several companies. Also, the same source says Abramovich has not declared major investment in Vitasse, which competes in Erediviasia.
Chelsea and Vitesse have already been investigated by the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) due to the high number of transfers between clubs. Nemanja Matic (sh-Banfya), Lucas Piazón (former-Rio Ave and SC Braga, Masou Mount, Solanke and Broya were some of the players representing Dutch borrowing from London. However, after several years of investigation, nothing was found illegal in Merkato's movements.
