Blinken commends Kurt and Vuchy for the deal: Will speed up the road to EU

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has welcomed the agreement reached Saturday in Ohrid on implementing the agreement on the normalisation of Kosovo-Serbia relations.

He has commended Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq.

Blinken said this would speed up the two countries' travel to membership in the European Union.

“The United States will remain actively engaged, in co-ordination with EU partners, to support Serbia and Kosovo in functioning implementation in pursuit of a predictable and peaceful relationship. We will continue to support advancing stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans”, Blinken said.
