The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, says Kosovo Prime Minister and Serbia's president are aware of punitive measures if they refuse to sign the basic agreement on normalising the reports.
The “Both Kurti and Vucic know very well that the side that rejects the deal, or the side is being counterproductive, will be isolated more and more internationally and blamed for the failure. This could lead to a deterioration of relations with the EU and the ban on some important processes”, it has said of the Albanian Post.
The German Eurodeput from the Greens ranks also says the two Balkan leaders should avail themselves of the strong political support so that “sesese” compromises however painful it may be.
As for the issue of the Association of Serb Majorities and fears not for what today this mechanism represents legally, but for the fact that what it can present tomorrow, during practical implementation, it says the Republika Srpska model in Bosnia and Herzegovina will not be implemented in Kosovo.
