He is accused of sexually abusing an Albanian girl, 23 years old at the time.
The event took place in 2013 at a discotheque in Milan, international media reports.
The Italian government had initially demanded the extradition of former Milan and Real Madrid player in September last year, but the request was refused on the basis of Article five of Brazil's Constitution, which prohibits the extradition of citizens.
But last week, the Italian government made another request, this time according to the Extrading Treaty, so that Robinho can serve his sentence in Brazil.
On the issue, which has already taken a cut form, Brazil's “arratia” is finished and now the former attack attorney must suffer nine years behind bars.
