Associated Press: US assured Kosovo not to create Serb majority ministate

Recent events have naturally taken the attention of more prestigious international media. The American media giant Associated Press has dedicated an article to recent events that characterised the country with regard to accelerating steps to establishing association.
The AP has written about US Department of State Special Adviser Derek Cholles and US special envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar's statement that the United States will not support the creation of a majority Serb mini-state in Kosovo like the one in Bosnia until Washington tries to persuade Kosovo to accept a controversial association.
We do not support any agreement that violates the Constitution of Kosovo. We strictly oppose the creation of any entity that resembles Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, US Ambassador Jeff Havenier said after the meeting, the AP writes.
Furthermore, the medium writes that Pristina is reluctant to accept the formation of association, fearing it would result in the formation of a mini-state similar to Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
