The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has reacted after Kurti and Vuciq's meeting in Brussels, where the two sides accepted the European plan on normalising relations between the two countries, Periscopi follows.
Abdixhiku has said that with the European plan on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the LDK's concerns were confirmed.
He further added that the agreement is not final and does not contain mutual recognition, and includes Association.
His full post:
In Brussels tonight, Kosovo's prime minister agreed with the European proposal on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
From the prime minister's statement on this already agreed agreement, but still unrepresented in the Kosovo Assembly, the concerns of the LDK, already publicised.
This agreement is not final and does not contain mutual recognition. Furthermore, it maintains performance ambitions on the political status of the two states.
Everything except recognition was Serbia's goal. Everything except recognition has this agreement today, already accepted by the parties.
The document also envisions the implementation of all preliminary agreements, including the Association, as well as special status for the Serbian Orthodox Church. The prime minister has only failed to agree on the date of the establishment of association, since he, with accepting the implementation of preliminary agreements, has agreed to establish it.
The LDK considers that completely wrong management of the dialogue process by Kosovo's prime minister over the past two years has shifted the process of dialogue from a legally final agreement binding on a basic agreement, without recognition and continued dialogue for the coming years. The conclusion between choosing such an agreement and Kosovo's eventual isolation are the prime minister's responsibility.
