After Mess's departure, Barca, who continues to be plagued by financial instability, had just recently chosen Laportan for his second term as president.
Messy has repeatedly been linked to a return to Nou Camp, but his brother Matias believes there is zero chance of that if Laporta cannot be removed from his duty.
Speaking on his son's Twitch channel, Matias said: ” We're not going back to Barcelona, and if that's going to happen, we'll have a good cleanup, except, among other things, Joan Laporta, who's ungrateful after all that Mess did for Barcelona.
The “people [in Barcelona] did not support it. People should have gone out to make a march or something, let Laporta go and Messy stay. The Catalans are traitors.
Messy's brother later made an extraordinary claim that Barcelona became a globally recognised team only because of 35-year-old contributions to the club, where he won 10 La Ligas titles and four championship league trophies among his major points.
“Barcelona began to be recognised globally because of Messi, formerly people only knew Madrid”, he said.
