In a post made Tuesday on Facebook, Kamberi has said that in cases of municipalities where minorities make up less than 5 percent of the ethnic structure, with this proposal it requires allowing the use of the flag in national national holidays of national minorities.
“In parliamentary procedure today I submitted the proposal for amending the Law on Protection of Minority Rights and Freedoms. Article 14, Aline 2 of this Law prohibits the use of national symbols “if they are identical to the symbols of the other state”.
With the new proposal, I have called for the complete change of this Article, the elimination of obstacles to the use of symbols, with the proposal that minority symbols be used freely and formally throughout the year in local self-administration institutions and state bodies in all municipalities in which the language of minorities is official”, he wrote.
On the other hand, Albanian deputy has said the proposal for changing this law has also been supported by deputies Enis Imamovic and Selma Kucevic from the Sandzak SDA and independent MP Aleksandar Olenik.
